The Spotlight team recently went through the recruiting process ourselves and we want to make sure that future athletes are well-equipped to succeed at the best possible academic institution for them. While those 4 years are certainly memorable in the classroom and in competition, our emphasis remains on also accounting for the following 40 years. Despite attending a diverse group of colleges, we all agree that we each made a decision to attend institutions that allowed us to excel in all phases of college.

A decision in high school has a long-term impact on your future and we are here to help equip you with the tools to make a well-thought-out decision.

  • Dylan Fleischman

Dylan Fleischman was born in Syracuse, NY and grew up in the Jamesville-DeWitt school district. Dylan grew up playing football and lacrosse competitively from a young age through high school before deciding to pursue lacrosse at the collegiate level. Dylan played lacrosse competitively for United Lacrosse, Orange Crush, and Jamesville-DeWitt High School before committing to Skidmore College in 2016.

Outside of lacrosse, Dylan has a deep passion for both technical and cultural fields of international business, linguistics, and data analytics. He graduated from Skidmore in 2020 with a degree in Asian Studies with a minor in Chinese. Fleischman spent 2 years in Shanghai, China studying Chinese at the prestigious East China Normal University then working as an Intern at Fortune 500 Flex LTD.’s Shanghai office. Why I’m passionate about Spotlight Sports LLC: Data-driven decision-making has always been something I’ve liked to apply to my life. When I was going through the recruiting process, there wasn’t any data to help me feel more comfortable making a decision. Ultimately, this lead me to transfer schools after my first year. Being able to leverage data to help drive informed decisions in the recruiting process will help student-athletes and their guardians feel better about a major life decision.
